Introducing the LTC2857IDD-1#TRPBF, a versatile and high-performance galvanically isolated RS485/RS422 transceiver, designed to enhance data communication reliability in industrial environments. This transceiver features a robust 20Mbps data rate and a ±60V fault tolerance on the RS485 bus, ensuring reliable and error-free transmission over long distances. The galvanic isolation between the transceiver and the RS485 input/output eliminates ground loops, protecting sensitive equipment from noise interference and improving system integrity. The LTC2857IDD-1#TRPBF offers flexible half-duplex or full-duplex communication modes, as well as a wide supply voltage range from 3.15V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications. Additionally, it features integrated ±15kV ESD protection on the bus pins, enhancing robustness and safeguarding against electrostatic discharge events. Designed with low power consumption in mind, this transceiver ensures efficient operation, thereby reducing overall system power requirements. Its small and space-saving DFN-10 package provides easy integration into space-constrained applications.
