The LTC1481IN8#PBF is an advanced low-power half-duplex RS485/RS422 transceiver designed to operate in rugged industrial environments. Manufactured by Linear Technology (now part of Analog Devices), this high-performance transceiver provides reliable communication and robust data integrity over long distances. With its wide operating voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V, the LTC1481IN8#PBF is ideal for a variety of industrial applications including building automation, motor control systems, and industrial control networks. It offers exceptional ESD protection of ±15kV HBM on the RS485/RS422 input/output pins, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments. The LTC1481IN8#PBF is also equipped with fail-safe circuitry that guarantees a high output state when the receiver inputs are open, shorted, or connected to a terminated transmission line. Additionally, it features a low current shutdown mode, allowing for power-saving operation when not in use.
