Introducing the LTC1480CN8#PBF, a high-speed, low-power, half-duplex RS485/RS422 transceiver designed for robust data communication in industrial applications. This product from Linear Technology offers a wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V, making it suitable for various power supply configurations. The LTC1480CN8#PBF features a low quiescent current of 370µA, enabling energy-efficient operation, especially in battery-powered systems. Its high data rate capabilities of up to 250kbps, coupled with its ±60V bus fault tolerance, ensure reliable and fast data transmission even under harsh industrial environments. This half-duplex transceiver offers three-state driver and receiver outputs, allowing multiple devices to be connected on a single bus. Additionally, the LTC1480CN8#PBF includes fail-safe circuitry and thermal shutdown protection, making it a reliable and safe choice for industrial applications. Packaged in an 8-pin narrow SO package, this RS485/RS422 transceiver is ideal for space-constrained designs.
